It's a challenge for Australia to set fresh records.

The highest peaks have been successfully scaled.

This is the team that has claimed seven Cricket World Cups, along with another six T20 titles, and once went 1,294 days without defeat in 50-over cricket.

The secondary achievements, those for the achievement hunters, are the only things left for a squad that has achieved everything.

The fact it required as late as Sunday's success by three wickets over India for them to achieve their initial ODI chase over 300, taking back their record for the highest in the female 50-over format, is, frankly, a tribute to the bowling attack that have represented Australia over the past 50 years.

It is hard for their batsmen to hold a record if not afforded the opportunity.

Finally, the consequence of Australia conceding 330 was leader Alyssa Healy receiving an opportunity to create her newest gem.

Then best known as the 19-year-old niece of renowned former Aussie wicketkeeper Ian, she debuted in 2010 after her nation didn't secure either of the 20 or 50-over World Cups from the prior year and has experienced everything through 15 trophy-laden years since.

A T20 World Cup win happened three months after her debut and seven world titles have resulted from 10 tries across formats.

The gritty keeper was in attendance in Derby in 2017 when a semi-final defeat by India momentarily interrupted the successful run.

That loss "drove us to reevaluate our levels," Healy said this week.

At the following one-day championship in New Zealand, Healy scored 170 against England in the title decider and was awarded tournament MVP. She ensured her country would not fall short again.

The question of whether this newest brilliant performance surpassed that earlier display can be debated.

Certain people claim the case for the pressure of a final. Different voices suggest with the difficulty that comes when confronting a historic chase and a loud pro-India audience of 20,000.

What's clear is this hundred was far harder to see coming.

The Christchurch carnage in 2022 happened while she led the batting statistics, but this knock was preceded by six games in India since the start of last month in which she had failed to pass 30.

"If you've observed me in training, it's been a frustrating experience because it appeared I've had no rhythm at all," said Healy.

A single came off Gaud's first delivery and from there Healy was underway.

"A chance to go out there and lock in a contest with her and merely enjoy the moment in that aspect, somewhat inspired me," stated Healy.

She achieved fifty in 35 deliveries - her swiftest at the global tournament - and her century in 84 deliveries while she flogged anything short, striking 21 boundaries and three sixes.

By the time she was out her side needed 66 more at a run-a-ball - an achievable target now needing a comfortable finish.

"To chase 330 is new territory so I'm pleased we have the belief to achieve that now," stated Healy further.

"Ideally we won't need to do it another time but, if we do, we are confident we can do it."

These statements will be the final thing Australia's opponents at this World Cup need to hear.

During the last week a feeling they will triumph from any situation has grown stronger - this success following success over Pakistan by 107-run victory despite being 76-7 at one point.

Next Australia play Bangladesh before an encounter with longtime competitors England in Indore in a week and a half, by which point a last-four spot may likely be confirmed.

It was in the semi-finals they exited the previous year's T20 World Cup in a surprising setback by South Africa - a game Healy was absent due to ruptured tissue in her foot as she captained her nation for the initial instance at an important competition.

So strong is her resolve, she afterwards commented she wanted to have participated with the discomfort.

However although she later admitted those physical issues have postponed thoughts of retirement, this tournament is likely to be her concluding event as leader in one-day cricket and she is hasn't yet secured a global event as captain.

Success in India would take her to the summit of her final mountain.
